The Founding

August 8, 2017

On a warm August morning in 2017, the founders of Maison Bordeaux stood on a gravel-rich parcel along the D2 — the Route des Châteaux — and made a promise: to craft wines that honor this land without compromise.

The estate spans 18 hectares of classified Pauillac terroir, planted predominantly with Cabernet Sauvignon, with parcels of Merlot and Petit Verdot completing the assemblage. Every vine is farmed with biodynamic principles.

Our chai is a marriage of traditional Médoc architecture and modern temperature-controlled precision. Fermentation in open-top wooden vats, aging in French oak barriques for 18 to 22 months — the old way, done with new understanding.

Tripper

"Bordeaux chose me before I chose it. I came here to find a great wine — and found a home instead."

Tripper is the founder and owner of Maison Bordeaux. Drawn to Pauillac by a lifelong passion for the great wines of the Médoc, he acquired the estate in 2017 with a singular vision: to craft wines of uncompromising character rooted in the land. A self-taught connoisseur turned committed vigneron, Tripper oversees every aspect of the estate — from the vineyard to the cellar — guided by the belief that great wine begins with honest stewardship of the soil.

🪨

Gravel & Clay

🌊

Left Bank Microclimate

The Gironde estuary moderates temperature extremes, prolonging the growing season and building complexity.

🍇

Cabernet Sauvignon

Dominant variety. 75% of plantings. Delivers the structure, tannin, and longevity Pauillac is famous for.

Our Philosophy

We do not chase scores. We chase truth — the truth of a vintage, the truth of a parcel, the truth of Pauillac.
